Life in Lytros

From the day I first heard of the light field camera concept, I was waiting for my digital camera to have one... Well, it's still not for today.
Lytro brand out a very nice camera in 2011, and I was amazed by the results it got: living pictures, focusing afterward wherever you want.
Looks like the animated pictures in Harry Potter's movies, isn't it ?
Now the problem is that it's quite expensive for such a tiny toy, and the resolution is still too low for me to buy one.

But still, I wanted to play with such interactive pictures of my own...
So... I got the idea to take my own camera, my manual and wide opening lens, and to combine it with the capabilities of modern Internet Browser...
That's all you need to create your own interactive picture !

Well, here is my first attempt :

Hi Andrew, thanks for your comment ;)
For now, I just call them "interactive pictures". I'm currently writing a tutorial on how to create your own.
Stay tunned, and you'll get all the keys ;)
